BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND – It was another impressive showing Sunday night in Australia by Donny Schatz. The six-time World of Outlaws champion led every lap of the main event at Brisbane’s Ausdeck Archerfield Speedway aboard the Scott Jennings Racing Crimsafe backed No. 15 J&J and claimed round six of the 2014/15 ENZED World Series Sprintcars championship.
After the win, Schatz shared his enjoyment so far of his Australian tour. “This is the best way to spend a working holiday,” admitted Schatz. “I’d like to see if I can extend it by about eleven months if I can!”
Schatz opened the night by earning his fourth Revolution Racegear QuickTime honor. He finished second in his heat before winning the Dash Pole Shootout. From the pole, Schatz was in control throughout the main event and raced to his ninth WSS victory at the quarter-mile dirt oval.
He’ll return to action next Friday with the two night Australian Open Friday and Saturday.
