FARGO, N.D. (April 25, 2019) – After a rare off weekend, it’s full speed ahead for Donny Schatz and the Tony Stewart / Curb-Agajanian Racing No. 15 team. The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will take on three different tracks across two states in three consecutive nights.

Racing begins Friday, April 26th at Lake Ozark Speedway in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. Friday’s event will mark the fourth appearance by the World of Outlaws to the slightly-banked one-third mile oval. Schatz is the most recent winner with the World of Outlaws at the speedway, claiming the $10,000 payday at last year’s running.

The other two events at Lake Ozark came in 2007 and 2005, where Schatz finished sixth and 14th, respectively.

On Saturday, the series will make the three-hour trip to Ken Schrader’s Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo. The high-banked one-third mile is a fan-favorite facility nationwide for its quick lap times and tight racing. Since 1997, Schatz has two career victories at I-55, with the most recent coming on August 7th, 2015. His first win at the speedway came on April 1st, 2006, where he led all 40 laps in the feature.

Over the last 10 years (21 events) at I-55, Schatz has an average finish of 4.1. In that span, he had one win and six runner-up finishes.

The three-race weekend wraps up Sunday, April 28th with a two-hour tow north to Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill. In the two previous starts at Jacksonville Speedway, Schatz recorded a fourth-place finish in 2016 and a third-place effort in 2014.

Schatz currently sits second in the point standings, just two points behind leader Brad Sweet. Schatz has one win on the season, which came on February 27th at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas and is tied for the most top fives with eight in the first 12 events. Schatz also remains the only driver to have finished inside the top 10 in every race thus far.
