FARGO, N.D. (September 4, 2019) – It was a busy three-race weekend in the Pacific Northwest for the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian No. 15 team over the Labor Day weekend. Ten-time and defending World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, scored three top-ten finishes, including two second-place efforts.

Following an eighth-place run on Friday, August 30th at Skagit Speedway in Burlington, Wash. Schatz backed that up with his first of two runner-up finishes of the weekend at Skagit on Saturday.

Schatz took advantage of a restart with seven laps remaining to go from fifth to second. Schatz wheeled his way past Daryn Pittman, Tim Kaeding and championship contender Brad Sweet in the final laps to take the checkers in second behind Logan Schuchart.

The action continued for Schatz on Monday, September 2 with a visit to Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash. After starting fourth on the grid, Schatz moved by Carson Macedo to take second with seven laps to go. Macedo battled back, but Schatz was able to hold on by a car length at the checkers.

Next up, the World of Outlaws head to Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Ore. tonight for their seventh appearance to the three-tenths mile oval. Schatz has two career victories at Willamette, which came in 2018 and 2016.
