FARGO, N.D. (June 10, 2020) – Donny Schatz and the Tony Stewart / Curb-Agajanian Racing team continue to click on all eight cylinders. Over the weekend, Schatz collected a pair of top five finishes to bring his streak to four consecutive as the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series rolls into Knoxville, Iowa this Friday and Saturday.

“Things are feeling really good right now. This Advance Professional team has got our FPS 410s creating a lot of power and that power is being applied to the race track. Knoxville is one of my favorite tracks so I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this weekend,” said an excited Schatz.

The Outlaws made their season debut at Knoxville Raceway on May 8th in what was their first event since the DIRTcar Nationals in February. During that event, Schatz charged from 10th to sixth in the main event.

Entering this weekend’s doubleheader, which can be seen live on DIRTVision.com, Schatz now sits second in the point standings, up from third last week. He is currently 28 points behind Kasey Kahne Racing driver Brad Sweet.

The Greatest Show on Dirt made the trek north to Wisconsin this past weekend to Beaver Dam Raceway.

Schatz passed cars each time he hit the race track on Friday. After timing in 11th quick, he advanced from third to second in his heat to earn a trip to the DIRTVision Fast Pass Dash. After drawing the number seven pill, out of eight, the Fargo, N.D. driver finished sixth to start on the outside of row three for the main event.

Schatz moved up two spots during the 30-lap feature to take the checkers in fourth.

Saturday went even better for the 10-time champion. An eighth-place qualifying effort led to a heat race win and another spot in the dash. After starting fourth, Schatz again moved up two positions during the feature to take home a second-place finish.

“It was a solid weekend for us. On Saturday, we had a really good car but it was tough to catch Sweet without any lapped traffic. We learned quite a bit over the weekend that we can apply on Friday and Saturday at Knoxville,” said Schatz.

Schatz is still perfect in the top 10 category thus far through the first 10 events of the season.

Schatz and the entire Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing team would like to thank all of their great partners for their continued support!
