FARGO, N.D. (July 17, 2020) – Donny Schatz and the Tony Stewart / Curb-Agajanian Racing team found their stride over the last four races with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. Schatz collected four top-five finishes, three of which were second-place runs.

“We had a great car all weekend. I can’t thank these Advance Professional guys enough. They busted their tail each night and we really hit on somethings setup-wise,” said Schatz.

The four-race swing began on Friday, July 10th at 34 Raceway in Burlington, Iowa where Schatz nearly picked up the feature win. Schatz applied heavy pressure to leader Parker Price-Miller in the final laps but crossed under the checkers in the runner-up position.

Following a fourth-place effort the following night at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis., Schatz put on his most impressive drive of the weekend on Sunday, July 12th at the Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Ind.

After having an engine failure during his heat race, Schatz started last on the 23-car field for the 30-lap main event. Schatz quickly worked his way through the field, passing for the fifth position on lap 15.

From there, Schatz continued his trek forward, passing Daryn Pittman for second with three laps to go. Schatz finished in second to salvage a great finish in what could have been a rough night.

The four-race swing came to a close on Tuesday, July 14th with the running of the Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park. Schatz battled with Kyle Larson for the lead in the closing laps of the 40-lap feature and came away with his third runner-up finish of the week.

World of Outlaws points leader, Brad Sweet, suffered some misfortune over the weekend which allowed Schatz to turn a 166 point gap into a mere two point difference as the 10-time champ now sits second in the standings.

This weekend, Schatz will be competing at two of his home tracks with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series. Schatz will be at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D. tonight, followed by a trip to Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, N.D. on Saturday. Schatz has picked up NLRA Late Model victories at both tracks.

Schatz and the entire Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing team would like to thank all of their great partners for their continued support!
