FARGO, N.D. (May 3, 2022) – From one hallowed half-mile to another, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series heads from Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend to Eldora Speedway this weekend for the annual #LetsRaceTwo event.
Schatz picked up 15th and eighth place finishes, respectively, at Bristol Motor Speedway last Friday and Saturday night. He enters this weekend’s action at Eldora seventh in the standings, 142 markers out of the lead and just two points behind Spencer Bayston for sixth.
For Schatz, a return to the Big E may be just what he and the Tony Stewart Racing No. 15 team need to park their Ford-powered J&J back in victory lane.
The North Dakota native has 17 career World of Outlaws wins at the House that Earl Built, 14 more than any active driver on the tour.
Last year in seven starts at Eldora, Schatz recorded two podium finishes, four top fives and led 44 laps of feature competition. Before an idle year at the track in 2020 due to COVID-19, Schatz basically owned Eldora in 2019 as he swept the #LetsRaceTwo features and led all 30 laps of the Knight Before the King’s Royal.
“Eldora has always been one of my favorite tracks. It seems like no matter how we are running at any given point during a season, once we get to Eldora we are just able to find out groove and have really good speed,” said Schatz. “This Ford Performance/Sage Fruit team has been working overtime to get where we need to be and I feel like we have the potential to put together some really strong runs.”
Schatz and the entire Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing team would like to thank all of their great partners for their continued support!
