WEST FARGO, N.D. (June 20, 2022) – Donny’s niece, Amelia Eisenschenk, made her Sprint Car debut on Friday night at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, N.D. in the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car division.

The IMCA Sprints are just in their second season of existence at Red River Valley Speedway and had nine cars checked in for action on Friday night. Being her first race, Amelia started at the back of the pack in the heat.

She didn’t stay back there long, however, as she worked her way around three cars during the six-lap race to finish sixth.

In the feature, Amelia ran 12 clean laps and brought the Fastlane Car Wash / Popeyes No. 1 home in seventh.

“I wasn’t really all that nervous. I just wanted to go out there and keep my nose clean and put the car in the trailer at the end of the night,” Amelia said after the race. “It was a good feeling that I knew I could be competitive and pass some cars. Towards the end of the feature, I started figuring out where I could run on the track and how to get through the slick. I’m excited to get back out there.”

Amelia will be in action this week at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn. on Thursday and at Red River Valley Speedway on Friday. Both races can be heard live on KRJB 106.5FM or streamed on
