FARGO, N.D. (June 2, 2023) – Donny Schatz has made his way back home, as he and the rest of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series are set to host its first pair of races of the 2023 campaign this weekend.
On Friday night, the series returns to River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND, where Schatz has among his most astonishing record of appearances at the quarter-mile bullring. This will be the 30th World of Outlaws feature contest at the Speedway.
Along with Schatz’s 12 trips to victory lane, Schatz has also recorded 27 top fives, and is a perfect 29-for-29 in the top ten category. The last time Schatz finished outside the top five at River Cities was nearly 12 years ago on June 18, 2011.
On Saturday the series will head east, going from familiar to brand new, as they will take to the three-eighths mile Ogilvie Speedway in Ogilvie, MN for the first time.
Last weekend, Schatz followed up a stellar week after sweeping Attica and Sharon in Ohio with a third place run on night two at another Ohio speed plant, Atomic Speedway. Schatz was also running well inside the top five on the opening night at Atomic when a right rear tire went flat on the final lap. Schatz rounded out Memorial Day Weekend with another top ten at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Indiana.
Schatz and the entire Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing team would like to thank all of their great partners for their continued support!
