FARGO, N.D. (August 21, 2023) – Coming off the Knoxville Nationals, another big payday awaited the teams of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series with $25,000 up for grabs on Saturday night during the 45th annual Jackson Nationals.

Carrying speed over from Knoxville, Schatz was fast out of the gate on Thursday to kick off the first of three nights. He was second quick in qualifying which helped him to go from fourth to first in the dash.

Schatz led the first six circuits but finished second to James McFadden.

After an eighth place run in the feature on Friday, Schatz was locked into the Saturday night A-main, where he would roll off fifth.

Schatz ran in and around the top five for the majority of the 35 lap feature as passing was at a premium early on. The final caution flew with four laps to go with Schatz running in the fifth spot. On the restart, Schatz moved by Gio Scelzi and early race leader James McFadden to claim the third and final podium position.

This week, Schatz and the Outlaws head back to North Dakota for the final time this season. A stop at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks on Friday is up first before Saturday’s event at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo.

Schatz enters the weekend sitting sixth in points, 346 markers out of the lead.

Schatz and the entire Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing team would like to thank all of their great partners for their continued support!
