FARGO, N.D. (September 25, 2023) – Donny Schatz’s Ohio weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series was highlighted by yet another hard charger performance at the Big E.

Schatz rolled off 15th on the grid for Friday night’s 30-lap BeFour the Crowns Showdown feature at Eldora Speedway. Back in the Carquest colors for the weekend, Schatz put on a show slicing through the field early on.

Schatz was in 11th by lap four and cracked the top 10 by the halfway point of the race.

The 10-time series champion continued his march forward, finishing sixth and advancing nine positions. That gave him the night’s KSE hard charger award for the second weekend in a row.

On Saturday, the Outlaws made the 275-mile trek overnight to Sharon Speedway.

Schatz advanced five spots in the feature to finish 16th.

Schatz is currently sixth in the point standings with 61 races in the books. He is in a close battle for positions inside the top five with fifth place, Gio Scelzi, and fourth place, Logan Schuchart. Schatz is just 30 points behind Schuchart, or about 15 feature finishing positions.

The Greatest Show on Dirt will head to the land of the PA Posse for the next two weekends. First up will be Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania for the National Open this weekend. Schatz is a 21-time William Grove winner and holds six National Open victories – both of which are the most of any active driver.

Schatz and the entire Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing team would like to thank all of their great partners for their continued support!
