FARGO, N.D. (February 11, 2025) – Donny Schatz kicked off his 29th consecutive season on the World of Outlaws trail last weekend at Volusia Speedway Park with an all-new Tony Stewart Racing crew. The team had speed right out of the gate.

Schatz began 2025 by picking up where he left off in 2024 with a KSE Hard Charger award on opening night. Schatz started 21st in the show-up-points-only event and wheeled his way up 13 positions to finish eighth. Dating back to last season, that was Schatz’s fourth consecutive hard charger award. That trend continued through Saturday as Schatz gained positions in every feature, going +32 for the week overall.

A total of 53 competitors entered the World of Outlaws DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park. After the dust settled on Saturday, Schatz sits eighth in the series standings. The Outlaws are now off until March 2nd and 3rd when they will return to Volusia Speedway Park during Daytona Bike Week.

From there, the series stays in the southeast with events at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on March 7th and Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on March 8th.

Schatz was a winner during the Bike Week Jamboree at Volusia last season in what was a milestone victory for the 10-time series champion. After the first night rained out, Schatz won the Monday night event which was his 500th career Sprint Car win and the 24th of his career at the Florida half-mile.

Schatz and the Tony Stewart / Curb-Agananian Racing team would like to thank Carquest, Advance Auto Parts, Ford Performance, Curb Records and Martin One Source for their support.
