FARGO, N.D. (March 18, 2025) – The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series is halfway through a four-race swing in the Lone Star State, which continues this weekend with the Texas Two Step at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas.
Tony Stewart / Curb-Agajanian Racing driver Donny Schatz has consistently run well at the high-banked three-eighths mile oval, despite still looking for his first career win at the speedway. In eight career starts, Schatz has finished inside the top 10 in each race with four top five results. His two most impressive runs came in the spring of 2022 and 2016 where he drove from 13th to fifth in both events.
Schatz is tied for fifth in the season-long point standings with Sheldon Haudenschild, 146 points behind leader David Gravel.
Last weekend, Schatz was in action at Kennedale Speedway Park near Dallas-Fort Worth. After Friday night’s 11th place run, Schatz was up on the wheel on Saturday, coming from a Last Chance Showdown win to finish 14th. The 10-time series champion passed seven cars, just missing out on the night’s KSE Hard Charger award.
Schatz and the Tony Stewart / Curb-Agananian Racing team would like to thank Carquest, Advance Auto Parts, Ford Performance, Curb Records and Martin One Source for their support.
