FARGO, N.D. (May 12, 2025) – The World of Outlaws invaded the territory of the Pennsylvania Posse over the weekend with stops at Lincoln Speedway and the historic Williams Grove Speedway.

Weather played a factor all week as Lincoln’s Tuesday night show was postponed to Wednesday, where Schatz came away with a 12th place finish in the main event after starting 14th.

Friday’s event at Williams Grove Speedway was then washed out, leaving just Saturday night at the big, fast, flat half-mile oval. With a big field of 43 cars signed in, Schatz started the night going eighth quick in Flight B qualifying.

A couple of nice moves early on in his heat race set him up nicely to make the dash as he drove from fourth into the second and final transfer position in the top eight redraw and a starting position in the dash.

That speed continued for Schatz in the main event. Starting fourth, he again worked his way into the second spot early on.

Schatz placed a big for the lead on Pennsylvania native, Anthony Macri, on lap nine and briefly took the point to lead lap 10. Macri’s momentum carried him back around Schatz in turn two, however, as Macri regained the lead.

Schatz remained a threat for the win for much of the remainder of the race, but fell victim to a hard-charging David Gravel in the closing laps. With two to go, Schatz became boxed in by lapped traffic which allowed Danny Dietrich to sneak by as Schatz took the checkers in fourth.

Schatz is currently sixth in the point standings as the series returns to Canada for the first time in eight years. Two nights at Ohsweken Speedway are on tap Wednesday and Thursday, rounded out by a trip to Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday.

Schatz’s track record in Canada is no less than impressive. The 10-time Outlaws champion has collected 12 victories in the 43 events the country has hosted, equating to a winning percentage of 28.
