FARGO, N.D. (May 23, 2025) – One of the biggest weeks in all of Sprint Car racing has come and gone. The four-race week at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota featured a $100,000 payday with the Huset’s Hustle and an industry-leading $250,000-to-win Huset’s High Bank Nationals with a stout field of 60 cars signed in.

Schatz had strong showings in both big shows, finishing eighth in the Huset’s Hustle and charging from 23rd to 14th in the High Bank Nationals A-main. That run of +9 during Saturday’s finale tied Schatz as the hard charger of the race with Anthony Macri and Tanner Thorson.

Schatz finished 18th and 20th in Wednesday and Friday night’s preliminary events, respectively.

With last week only paying showup points for the World of Outlaws, the championship fight resumes this weekend at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Schatz has five career victories at the three-eighths mile oval, with the most recent coming in 2016.

He also scored consecutive victories at the track in 2008-09 and 2014-15.

Schatz currently sits sixth in the point standings, 394 markers behind David Gravel. He is just six markers ahead of California runner Gio Scelzi and trails Sheldon Haudenschild by 96 points for fifth in the standings.
