Schatz started 13th in last Wednesday’s 30-lap main event at Jackson Motorplex. It didn’t take long for Schatz to start working his way forward, as he was all the way up to ninth by the eighth lap. Schatz battled with Gio Scelzi and Logan Schuchart in the second half of the race and finished the ten minute run in the tenth position.
Friday night, the series headed east to the Badger State, where the series returned to Plymouth Dirt Track. Schatz started 15th in the 35-lap main event which went red on the initial start for Logan Schuchart.
The race went yellow for Chase Randall on lap two, red again for Kyle Larson on lap seven, and was followed by another pair of cautions before lap 20. Schatz was as high as ninth following a lap 19 restart but fell out of the top ten for the three laps that followed.
Schatz climbed back into the top ten for good on lap 23 and made one last pass on Chris Windom to finish ninth when the checkers flew.
Saturday night, the scene shifted to Beaver Dam Raceway, where Schatz ended up with his best result of the week. Schatz started tenth in the 40-lap feature but fell back to 12th by lap 3. Schatz used a lap five restart to climb to ninth and continued to make his way forward from there.
