FARGO, N.D. (July 28, 2025) – A big week of four World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series events were slated last week, but a rain washed out both races at Williams Grove Speedway, leaving just BAPS Motor Speedway and the always exciting Weedsport Speedway.
Donny Schatz had a nice drive on Wednesday at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, Pennsylvania, driving from 18th to 11th. The weekend concluded Sunday evening at the tricky New York oval of Weedsport Speedway. Schatz battled for a top 10 position all race long, but came away with a 14th place finish at the checkers.
The Tony Stewart Racing team will now make the 900-mile trek back to the Midwest where Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 awaits for Ironman weekend. Schatz had speed each and every time the No. 15 unloaded at I-55 last year. Of the four World of Outlaws events in 2024, Schatz collected three top fives, including a win, and finished no worse than eighth.
Schatz owns three career wins at the high-banked bullring – 2024, 2015 and 2006.
While the Ironman weekend is nothing to be overlooked, it will be the final tune-up for the World of Outlaws teams before heading to Iowa for the biggest event of the year – the 64th annual NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals.
Schatz is currently sixth in the World of Outlaws point standings heading into I-55.
