FARGO, N.D. (October 13, 2026) – With the 2026 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season winding down, 10-time series champion Donny Schatz will look to continue his recent string of strong performances as the series heads to Indiana and Illinois for a pair of races this weekend.

Schatz and the CJB Motorsports team will kick off the weekend on Friday, October 16 at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana, before heading west to Belle-Clair Fairgrounds Park Speedway in Belleville, Illinois, on Saturday, October 17.

Schatz enters the weekend with momentum on his side, having collected three podium finishes in his last seven starts, including a runner-up finish at the prestigious National Open at Williams Grove Speedway on October 3.

Last weekend, the Fargo, North Dakota driver recorded a 16th-place finish at Millstream Speedway on Thursday before rebounding with a runner-up finish at Mansfield Speedway on Friday. Schatz capped off the three-race Ohio swing with a fifth-place finish at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, where he started from the pole and led the opening 11 laps.

The recent performances have been encouraging for Schatz and the CJB Motorsports team as they continue to build speed during the final weeks of the season.

Friday’s stop at Lincoln Park Speedway will mark the fourth World of Outlaws appearance at the 5/16-mile Indiana bullring.

Schatz is a former winner at Lincoln Park, having claimed the checkered flag on June 8, 2016. On that night, Schatz started from the pole and led 39 laps en route to the victory.

The World of Outlaws returned to Lincoln Park last October for the first time in nearly a decade. Schatz started 11th and advanced three positions to finish eighth in the 35-lap main event.

Saturday’s visit to Belle-Clair Fairgrounds Park Speedway will be a new experience for Schatz and the rest of the World of Outlaws competitors, as the series makes its inaugural appearance at the quarter-mile dirt oval.

The historic Illinois facility reopened in 2026 and will host the World of Outlaws for the first time with a 35-lap feature event.

Schatz enters the weekend ranked seventh in the World of Outlaws championship standings. To date, he has collected three feature victories, 18 top-five finishes and 39 top tens during the 2026 campaign.

Following this weekend’s events, the World of Outlaws will continue its final stretch of races before concluding the season at the World Finals in Charlotte in November.
