FARGO, N.D. (July 2, 2024) – Last weekend’s two-night Independence Spectacular at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin was shortened to one after rain washed out Friday’s action. The Carquest / Ford Performance No. 15 driven by Donny Schatz was fast once things got going on Saturday. Schatz timed in 10th quick before finishing fourth in his heat race, putting him 10th on the grid for the 30-lap feature. As the green flag on the feature flew, Schatz quickly jumped up to the sixth position. There, he found himself battling with Gio Scelzi for much of the race early on.
